Kahr makes some good guns and this is a really nice single stack. Overall it's about the size of the Glock 19, but it is thinner with a better grip design, okay sights and and a very different trigger.
I've put several hundred rounds of just about everything through mine except steel case and it has run flawlessly. HP, FMJ, Cheap, Expensive, no problem with anything.
Like all Kahrs it has a long, smooth, light double action feeling trigger pull. The pistol is actually a striker fired single action and the trigger pull only moves stuff around inside to let it fire. This long pull can be hard for some to adjust to, but as a defensive pistol it's good to have when you are excited and your fine motor skills are gone.
It takes some practice to master it - but overall its better for defensive work IMO.
PROS: This gun is just the right size. Small enough for AIWB concealment but big enough to handle well under recoil and be reasonably accurate. It will work for both CCW and nightstand.
It is market sector competition for the Glock 19 at about 60% of the price and just as well made. It is a little bigger than the M&P Shield.

CONS: The recoil spring is stiff and if you have reduced hand strength it can be difficult to rack the slide. The single stack design that makes it more concealable, and feel better also makes limits the gun to 8 rounds.
You will have to practice a little with the long trigger pull and don't try to shoot it the same as you would an M&P or Glock. You should pull the trigger like paddling a canoe. Once the paddle is in the water keep going. With this pistol put the trigger on the finger joint, not the pad, and pull the buttery smooth 5lb trigger continuously while aligning the sights. Sounds hard but its not, and if you have to shoot while moving it is actually better.
All in all this is a great little pistol which is an excellent choice for an only gun which can go CCW and also protect your castle at night.
