This beautiful AK-47 Rifle got its start at the Pioneer Arms factory in Radom Poland with the final U.S. compliance and finish work being done here in the U.S. by Pioneer Arms USA. Rifle possesses the original high-quality Polish Receiver and Barrel and many of the original Com-Bloc characteristics that you would expect from a Polish-based rifle.
Pioneer has definitely improved. Only negative is the cheap plastic pistol grip.
Given the history of the rifle, I wasn't expecting much. But it seems that Pioneer has improved a lot. The rifle is well fit and finished, no wobbles or rattle, all kind of common AK magazines fit fine. The rifle is pretty accurate out of the box, I did not need to sight it, not a single malfunction with different kind of ammo and magazines. It is currently one of the best budget AKs available in the market.
