(1 out of 5) A Purchase I Deeply Regret
by Jim from NM on September 2, 2025

So right out of the box, one of the grip screws stripped out while I was changing the adjustable grips that came with the gun. I shot 50 or so rounds with the one screw missing. Canik customer service said I needed to return the entire gun, but not before providing them with a ridiculous amount of personal information and paperwork that was required to be filled out by hand. After that, I unmounted the optic and sent it back. I never heard a thing from Canik customer service, even though the parcel tracking receipt indicated the firearm had been successfully delivered. A couple of weeks later, I sent an inquiry about the progress. I received a terse reply that said it could take up to eight weeks to fix. That was the last I’ve heard from Canik. It has now been seven weeks, and the silence continues to be deafening. The gun has a one-year warranty. I’ve shot less than 100 rounds, and the warranty is already one-quarter expired. It broke right out of the box, for God’s sake, so I can only imagine what other horrors await if they ever return it. I regret buying this gun. The quality and the customer service experiences have convinced me that I’ll never purchase another Canik. Apparently, my experience is not uncommon, according to the Internet. I strongly recommend that no one make the same mistake as I did.
