What's in the Box

  • Ruger American Gen II 300 Blackout Rifle
  • (1) 10-Round Detachable Magazine
  • Owner's Manual

Splatter finished stock provides excellent grip without being too sharp or abrasive. Soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius on the heel for easy shouldering and improved geometry that progressively collapses to reduce felt recoil. Removing the installed spacer allows for length of pull to be adjusted from 13.75" to 12". Installed low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics but can be removed when utilizing low-mounted sights. More comb options are available at ShopRuger.com to further refine the fit.

Firearm Features

  • Installed low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics but can be removed when utilizing low-mounted sights. More comb options are available at ShopRuger.com to further refine the fit.
  • Professionally applied Cerakote coating on barrel, muzzle brake, receiver and bolt handle results in a durable, easy-to-maintain finish.
  • Medium contour barrel features deep spiral flutes that reduce weight at the muzzle end of the barrel to improve balance without sacrificing stiffness or accuracy.
  • Compact, threaded barrel with factory-installed radial port muzzle brake is cold hammer-forged, resulting in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.
  • Intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt, preventing inadvertent bolt opening while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.
  • Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger offers a crisp release with a pull weight that is user-adjustable between 3 and 5 pounds.
  • Patented Power Bedding™ integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy.
  • The one-piece bolt is CNC machined from stainless steel for smooth operation and the familiar three-lug design with 70° throw provides ample scope clearance.
  • Oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation, with a 5/16"-24 thread pattern for easy replacement.
  • Factory-installed, one-piece Picatinny scope base.
  • Also includes: one magazine and steel sling swivel studs.

Customer Comments & Questions

Customer Reviews

(1 out of 5) Cerakote locked. Poor customer service.
by Thomas from Indian Head, MD on April 9, 2026

I purchased this rifle for the sole purpose of running a suppressor. Unfortunately, they cerakoted their muzzle brake on it, which made it nearly impossible to remove. I contacted Ruger customer service and was told how I could fix it. I've tried, but cannot get the muzzle brake off. I'll never buy another Ruger again.

(5 out of 5) 300 blk
by Jody from Hudson, NC on April 12, 2026

I got one back in October of last year. I bought 4 kinds of subsonic ammo to try. Turns out it liked the cheaper stuff the best. Sighted in with Winchester super suppressed and at 60 yards I can easily cut bullet holes. I have a polonium suppressor on it and it’s about as loud as a loud hand clap. This gun was bought for the sole purpose of hunting directly behind a large upscale development I have had permission to hunt for years, but only bow hunt. Now I can use this and no one knows the difference.

(3 out of 5) Ceracoated on muzzle break
by Chris H. from Waynesboro, GA on May 4, 2026

Ya know, I've always been a fan of Ruger products due to their performance and affordability, but they do some really dumb stuff sometimes. Why would you not just slap a thread protector on and call it a day? Only, nobody ever puts a break on a 300 blackout then basically red lock-tights it on. Same thing with the Ruger RPR, good luck finding an after market bolt or even getting Ruger to send you a replacement. I would get the Mossberg version of this rifle if I had it to do again.
