Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore made this purchase effortless. I ordered the pistol late last Saturday, online. The pistol arrived at the FFL five days after placing the order. Everything was as described in the ad. The mag release is stiffer than I think should be, but this should free-up after use. I'm very pleased with the Tisas U.S.Army 1911a1 and would recommend this product to new and old users alike.
It’s a very nice gun but not as authentic as the later model, which has markings on the frame, is actually Parkerized instead of Cerakoted, and has an ejection port that copies the original Remington Rand it’s patterned after, along with other features. This model is UPC #723551444191 and has "United States Property" and "M1911A1 U.S. Army" on the right side of the frame. This model costs more but is the most accurate repro.
My experience with them is that they are nicely built pistols, and you can’t go wrong no matter which one you get.
