The Ruger LC Carbine is a versatile and compact firearm designed for both recreational shooting and personal defense. Featuring a 16.2-inch fluted barrel, the carbine utilizes a blowback operating system and comes with a threaded muzzle, allowing for the attachment of various muzzle devices or suppressors. Its design includes a side-folding stock, adjustable for length of pull between 12.2 and 14.2 inches, which aids in portability and storage. The handguard is M-LOK compatible and incorporates a full-length MIL-STD 1913 rail for mounting optics. The 5.7x28mm carbine shares its magazine with the Ruger-5.7 pistol, using a 20-round capacity detachable box magazine. Controls include ambidextrous manual safety levers, a left-side bolt release lever, and an extended magazine release. The LC Carbine's internals feature Ruger's Secure Action fire-control system with a protected internal hammer. Additionally, it comes with Ruger's Rapid Deploy flip-up sights but also supports various optics. The overall weight is a manageable 5.9 pounds, and the carbine's folding stock reduces its length to 22.5 inches when compacted, making it convenient for transport.
