Product Description
The Steyr AUG A3 M2 is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO bullpup rifle with a 16-inch barrel, black synthetic stock and extended Picatinny rail. This AUGM2BLKEXT model uses standard Steyr AUG waffle-pattern magazines and comes with one 30-round magazine.
16-Inch Barrel in a Compact Bullpup Layout
The bullpup design places the action and magazine behind the trigger, keeping the rifle compact without shortening its 16-inch barrel. Steyr uses a cold hammer-forged barrel with a gas-nitride bore treatment.
Extended Picatinny Optics Rail
A top-mounted Picatinny rail provides a mounting surface for a compatible red dot or riflescope. This is a rail-equipped AUG rather than a model with a built-in scope, so you can choose the optic for your range setup.
Standard AUG Magazine Compatibility
Although it is chambered in 5.56 NATO, this is not the NATO-stock version of the AUG. It uses Steyr AUG-pattern magazines, not AR-15/STANAG magazines. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing spare magazines.
