solid pistol but wont cycle all ammo types

I like this pistol, but was disappointed when I loaded different types of Hornady defense rounds. It wouldn't cycle any of them. Cycled all types of ammo as long as it was round ball. Not sure if it's the magazine, the ramp, or what. I'll purchase other brands and see what happens. Overall, I'm happy with the pistol. Ergonomics, accuracy, and recoil are all very nice.
