For a day chasing pheasant or chukar, the A5 Upland chambered in 20 Gauge is an ideal shotgun to add to your collection of autoloaders. Featuring a walnut stock with an oil finish, a beautiful nickel plated receiver with contrasting brushed sides, and a blued barrel, the aesthetics of the A5 Upland set it apart as an elegantly functional field gun.
This lightweight wonder is built using a smaller-sized frame than the 12 gauge models to keep the 20 Gauge slim and light. Weighing under six pounds, the gun is a dream to carry all day through the fields, nimble to the shoulder, and packs plenty of punch when the time arrives to pull the trigger.
Like the 12 and 16 gauge models that came before, this Browning A5 is sure to become a classic in its own right and is so reliable we back it with a 5 year/100,000 round guarantee — come hell or high water. The 20 gauge runs on recoil, what we've dubbed the Kinematic Drive System. In its simplest term, kinetic energy is the energy of motion. The Browning A5 uses kinetic energy more efficiently with its powerful, short recoil-operated Kinematic Drive System. Kinematic Drive harnesses recoil energy and converts it into the mechanical motion needed to operate the action. This concept is tried and true, and now perfected by the company that broke ground first with autoloading shotguns.
The beauty of Kinematic Drive is the simplicity of design for consistent, reliable function with any load and under the full extremes of weather, temperature, moisture and grime.
