I wish I could say this was the first time it happened, but I took possession of the 586 L comp and discovered that it has to be sent back to Smith & Wesson due to a severely canted barrel and a poorly installed front sight. They informed me they are on summer shutdown, and I won't see my gun back for at least another six weeks. I sent it back the same day, and it arrived at Smith & Wesson yesterday. I will update as to what they did to the gun and whether they fixed it properly whenever I actually get the gun I paid for.
