Im a late-comer to the world of polymer pistols. But the M&P9 has changed all the stereo types this old-timer, wheel-gun aficionado ever had. I love this pistol. And NOBODY beats Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore on price and availability. I've had mine for about a year now, and put over 500 rounds down the tube. I like it more every time I shoot it. Sadly, my revolvers don't get much of a work-out anymore!
First off, the price of the gun is almost too low to be believable. I don't understand how they priced it so low, but boy what a hell of a deal. Great company, their prices cannot be beat, and the shipping is stupid fast considering it is free. This company rocks and will definitely be getting more of my business.
As far as the handgun goes, it came brand new in the box with all the goodies listed above. Which was one of the first things I was most skeptical about when first seeing the price for it. The gun ran great and the recoil impulse is so soft. I've mainly shot SIGS and though they are great shooters, the M&P is extremely low recoiling and has very little muzzle rise. This being due to the extremely low bore axis of the gun.
Also the gun is extremely thin even with the medium backstrap on. I have large hands with short fingers and find it extremely comfortable. If it doesn't fit you, there are two other size palm swellings that will for sure accommodate most hand hand sizes.
Only negative is that the rear sight was completely off on the gun. Shot nearly 4ft left of target. This being confirmed with multiple shooters. Not an issue as I will be installing night sights on it. Only negative about the gun so far.
At this price, don't hesitate to buy one. The gun is great and this company is outstanding!

Wonderful gun. Personally, I prefer the Glock design but am extremeely happy with this purchase. The gun itself is every bit as good as a Glock in terms of quality, however I like the Glock trigger better. Amazing gun and amazing service from SOS.
I have owned multiple m&p handguns and what really sold this one was the price and what you get for the price. Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore has outdone all their competition here and even beat most LE/Military which ships with 3 mags by default deals out there. I have serviced connected disability and qualify for LE/Military discount however with a free extra magazine with this gun and the low price beat any Military discount deals on M&P 9 without mag safety and thumb safety out there. I do not mind M&P trigger and personally prefer it over Glocks grip angle and trigger feel. Exceptional gun at exceptional price from an exceptional seller!
The M&P9 offers the best balance between size, weight, shootability, reliability, and handling of any large-frame 9mm handgun I have ever fired. Aftermarket support is exceptional and S&W takes good care of any problems you might encounter, which I have yet to have. My only complaint is the factory trigger is heavy and lacks a predictable break, which lent itself to low-left pull from flinch. An Apex sear resolved that. Exceeds the standard Glock set.
