The Taurus Tracker family includes a full range of calibers and sizes to perfectly suit any hunting adventure. Chambered in .357 Magnum, these rugged, durable revolvers also make a practical choice for backpacks and tackle boxes, especially where there are bears and other predators around. Extremely comfortable to fire and easy to control - the Tracker Series continues to grow in popularity thanks to its high level of accuracy, rock-solid performance and near-indestructible construction.
This thing shoots like a dream, and the ports don’t bother me one whit, and I’m shooting at an indoor range. I got the six inch barrel, and it’s a pop gun with Magtech 38, but it’s just a wee bit louder with Fiocchi 357. Smooth as anything - the most accurate handgun I own, and a joy to shoot. By the way, Heinman’s stainless steel wipes are great for any exterior carbon, and othern that, I just ran a bore snake through the chambers and barrel. Man. The Tracker 6.5 is sweet. You wouldn’t regret it..
I’ve always liked Taurus guns. It looks great, with performance to match. Easy to use and clean. My next purchase will most likely be a Taurus.
I have the .357/.38spl model 627, 6.5” ported barrel, Titanium. I’ve had it for years, bought it used. Big, but light enough for CCW without discomfort all day. Shockingly accurate but maybe that’s just because it fits me and I’m confident with it due to familiarity. Never a misfire. Cleans easy. Love the grips.
I have this model 6.5 inch better. I own a lot of revolvers. Colts , Ruger , M&P. This is my favorite because the thing is so accurate and the ergonomics are great.
