Packed with the latest technological advances and features required by today’s most demanding shooters, the Ruger® LCR® is the evolution of the revolver. The Ruger® LCR® is a lightweight, small-frame revolver with a uniquely smooth trigger and highly manageable recoil.
The high-strength stainless steel cylinder is extensively fluted (reducing weight) and features an Ionbond Diamondblack finish for excellent durability. The monolithic frame, which supports the cylinder and barrel, is made from aerospace grade, 7000 series aluminum.
Purchased for my 19 year old daughters first pistol. Never held or shot before. Took her to the range and she was hitting bulls eye within just a few rounds. I was amazed. Shoots very well with minimum recoil.
Was looking for a small yet powerful revolver that was easy to use with older arthritic hands. The Double Action Trigger pull is easy and the gun is very lightweight. While +p can be used for younger stronger hands, a low recoil Round from Federal or Hornady makes a quick follow up shot easy, and easily handled by older hands. Sportman's had the best price I could find, even with the FFL transfer fee, the free shipping saved me $80 from local shops and shipping was reasonably quick. The revolver is simple, safe, and easy to operate, and the bright white front sight is easy to pick up, even in low light. Highly recommend both this revolver and Sportman's Outdoor Superstore.
I bought an LCR about six months ago. It has quickly become a very frequently carried CCW. I replaced the original Hogue grip, which was good but a bit short, with a Hogue Extreme. This made it much more manageable for me. The only negative, it rattles. The cartridges are a bit loose in the chamber and it makes a small rattle sound when being carried.
The purchase of my new Ruger LCR was simple and pleasurable. The order process through SOS was simple, the price of the Ruger was unbeatable, and the shipping was QUICK. I ordered my Ruger LCR on a Sunday afternoon and it arrived at my FFL dealer on Friday! The Ruger LCR is a WONDERFUL revolver with a GREAT trigger! For a ladies protective carry weapon, I can not see how anything could beat the Ruger LCR! I am a very small built woman with little experience and I was completely comfortable and happy with firing the Ruger LCR. Thanks to SOS and Ruger I have a reliable and easy to use protection weapon.
