Stock AKs don't have any kind of modular accessory system (other than a side rail with some models); aftermarket parts are necessary to add even something as basic as an optic.

If you want simplicity, use an AK pistol or rifle. If you want customizability, use an AR.

There are few guns as recognizable as the Draco and Mini-Draco. While some may think it is just a range toy, the Draco provides a non-NFA option for a compact self-defense tool.

It is the more obtainable "AK74u" without the high price tag and rarity. It can be both braced and not braced, depending on how you want it set up.

The Century Arms Draco is a good alternative to more multi-caliber designs if you want a 30 caliber, compact option.
