Proudly built in the U.S.A., the Browning Buck Mark is precision made and extremely accurate. These affordable pistols are built on a machined aluminum frame and feature a precision rifled barrel, crisp trigger and fully adjustable sights. New overmolded grips offer a more secure hold and improved looks.
Whatever 22lr ammo you have lying around, this gun will spit it in the right direction, and because it is 22lr, you won't have to sell a kidney on the black market to keep feeding it. I have only put a couple hundred rounds through mine so far, but I tried Browning, a couple types of Federal, some CCI MiniMag, and some Aguila, and the gun functioned flawlessly with all of it. Not only did it run smoothly with no failures to feed or failures to fire, it put everything in tight groups. No doubt I was the limiting factor on accuracy with this gun, but it made me look good. It is a pleasure to shoot, too. As you might expect, there is minimal recoil, and it is very easy to keep the gun on target. The grip eases the shooters fingers into a solid hold and the sights are highly visible, making the accuracy of this gun great, but I think that most people will be pulled back again and again because it is just fun to shoot. My one issue with the gun is that it is not designed to be easily taken down for a full cleaning. If the Browning recommendations for cleaning it fairly minimal are sufficient, I wont have any problem with that. Just don't expect to quickly strip this down like the new Rugers.
This Browning Buckmark .22 Camper model is my second Buckmark .22. The first one I bought in the mid 90s and it is still in perfect shape. I taught several people to shoot with that pistol. Because Browning no longer makes that exact variant, I have retired it and purchased the Camper.
It doesn't have the same premium finish or rosewood grips as my retired model, but it is nicely done in matte blue and plastic overmold grips and is mechanically identical as far as I can tell. I hate that I missed a rebate by 6 days, but overall I'm very happy with my purchase and Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore quick service. .
Fast, accurate, easy on the hip and allies to clean , but chose your ammo carefully. CCI are the go to, but Browning and Winchester at times fail to eject. I hit Jack rabbits on the run and group 1/2 inch at 25 yd & 1 inch at 50 yds. Buy one for the Mrs.
