This is an great gun, especially at $344.99. I own the 40 cal but shoot my brothers at the range. I have also have the XDs 9mm and the Kahr PM9. We did put a rubber grip on our guns which makes it comfortable to hold. The accuracy is fine, I do like the trigger, but agree it could be better. Really can't go wrong with this one!
This is a small pistol. Hard to be accurate. Trigger could be better... My shots go down left. 15 yard group is bigger than I expected... Do not like safety button; too small and tight. Do not like the feature that trigger is not working without magazine. I feel I need to buy a bigger gun.
I just went through my CCW training with this gun and I love it. Great control when shooting and very concealable. Also a really great gun for your money.
Sportsmans Outdoor is the best store to buy a gun, I love this website.
This was my fourth M&P and they are all extremely rugged and reliable. This a lot of gun for the money. Feels good in the hand but because it is so thin it rotates in the hands when firing. You need to be thinking about your grip with this gun. Well made very but has a terrible trigger. I put an Apex sear and springs in it and that helped a lot. I did not get the Apex trigger for a few dollars more and now I'm sorry I didnt.
If the trigger were better this would be five stars.
I bought this pistol online this month July 2014 and have taken it out 2 times. I enjoy the ergonomic and natural feel in my hand. The recoil is very good compared to other 9mms that I have fired including my Ruger LC9. The trigger reset is a short distance from the firing position and has an audible and tactile reset click and allows for the next round to be fired quickly. It is also thin enough that I can carry it comfortably IWB.
I bought the CA compliant version so it has the loaded chamber indicator like my LC9 and SR40. The look of this gun is awesome IMO and looks like it is ready to take care of business. I might experiment with different sights in the future but right now the 3 dot white sights are large enough and bright enough that Ill keep them for a while. Cleaning the gun is fairly simple after you field strip it. The take down lever is somewhat difficult to fully disengage and I dont like having to use a tool to move the barely yellow lever inside down.
