The Springfield Range Officer now comes in 9mm and has the same quality forged frame and slide as the TRP™ and Trophy Match™ 1911s. The 9mm Range Officer gets the same precision fit as these pistols too. Add in the same stainless steel barrel and bushing, and you have a pistol that shoots well beyond its price tag.
Topped with a fully-adjustable rear target sight, the Springfield Ranger Officer 9mm gives you maximum flexibility. The beavertail grip safety, extended trigger and flat mainspring housing allow the pistol to sit in your hand comfortably for long periods of time at the range. This single-sided, extended thumb safety keeps things simple and functional. It all adds up to a pistol that will let you seriously compete in a variety of matches.

Buy one you will not be sorry. Perfect for USPSA shooting.
I purchased this gun in 2016 and still love it. I wanted a gun that had a traditional finish and found the parkerized finish to be quite durable. I disassembled and found the internals to be of the highest quality. Upgrades have been to order a fiber optic sight from Springfield. The ones form their other 1911s fit perfectly with no modification, a mainspring/sear spring kit to reduce the trigger to 3.5-4 lb, and of course, the usual G-10 grips. Highly recommend this pistol, especially for the price.
