The .22 rimfire handgun will never look the same. The P22 changed everything. Walther adapted the tactical styling and Performance Design concepts from their centerfire handguns and applied them to the .22 L.R. This created a new movement in the design of contemporary rimfire handguns … and an explosion of imitators. As a stylish, fun gun to own, the P22 is at home on the shooting range, around the camp or in a museum of modern art.
Second review is much better after running newer ammo thru this gun. Consistent performer. Will definitely be taking this gun to the range more often.
Great little plinker. Fouled out earlier than I had hoped for, but I was shooting 22LR that was at least 30 years old. I believe it will do better with newer ammo. $$$ well spent.
Unlike some on YouTube videos, I've had good satisfaction with this weapon. Mine has the laser sight, which should make a better shooter out of anyone that wants to learn sight picture, alignment, trigger pull, etc. I've had 2 FTF. Same ammo from same box. Other than that, it's been pretty much flawless. I'm an old James Bond guy. Original Sean Connery and though it wasn't a .22 he carried, I guess the name stuck and I finally bought one. So far, I haven't been sorry.
This is a great gun, especially for the price. I also own the Ruger SR22, and have to say that they are very close in comparison with the Ruger inching out in front just a little. Be patient with this gun. It's a little picky on ammo for the first 1-200rds. I've shot the following ammo thru it with no issues: Winchester white box, CCI mini mags, Remington golden bullets, federal American Eagle, and Aguila high velocity.
I have this gun. Bought it for my 13 yr old son. It's his favorite, even over the Glock 19. I love shooting it too. Great gun. Can't say enough good things about it.
I have 2 of these. The first was purchased about 10 years ago, the second about 6 months ago. For the first 8 years, I shot the gun at targets and as a plinker. Then a couple years ago I added a suppressor. This gun cycles 100% always. With standard ammo about 1,030 fps, it will cycle and sound like a pellet gun. With the CCI Quiet load you can barely hear it, but it will not cycle. Then I learned that regular speed rifle ammo, 1,280 fps is under supersonic and works great. Just buy the cheap bulk and shoot away, suppressed or not. By the way, this is a super value at the sale price. I paid more for the first one 10 years ago than I did for the new one. I shot 3 skunks in my yard and my wife never had a clue, so get a suppressor if you can...Love the gun, love the Superstore. Oh yea, the second one is for my wife. She has weak hand strength and this thing is easy to pull back.
