I bought this just because I wanted a great little .22 Semi-Auto and the bonus is that this comes with a laser that is made to go on this pistol. The pistol comes with 2 magazines 10 rnd capacity and a cable lock with an additional backstrap. The laser was great, I had to do a little adjustment and it is now dead on! This pistol also comes with a plastic carry case. I could not find this pistol under $350 anywhere locally. Great deal and even greater pistol. Made in Germany!! What else can one ask for!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a .22 pistol.
Ordered on 9/23, Friday - received 9/28 Wed 2 Day Free Shipping. Product packaging was good. Minor things; plastic case kind of cheesy and no lock capability. Manuals are not that descriptive and tiny to read. Foam good and all else great. Gun was nearly flawless - the finish on the serial # is blurry. Something that needs fixing. Magazines have slight play but not noticeable. Firing Pin, thumb, drop and magazine safeties are great but wow, a brief learning curve on the sequence. Came with 2 magazines, punch, back strap change, pistol, Walther red dot, batteries, range plug for slide, nice cable lock again, weird the case has no cable opening. Very complete. laser and sights almost dead on from production. A few rounds, no issue, going to break in 100 or so rounds this weekend. With added weight of laser, just tops 16 ounces. Grips good, a little small even for my medium hands but very workable. I only use CCI mini- mag ammo or 1200 FPS ammo. Love that this pistol is so complete, even de-cocking from engaged but will have to take care as seems quick to de-set. Dislike. Magazine release. Thought I'd like it but not intuitive or natural yet. Workable but wow, not as I thought the feel and usability would be. Give me the Ruger magazine release. All in all, can't be the quality, kit and Sports Mans Outdoor is A W E S O M E.
And with the laser it's better. I've found it to be more reliable so far than the Ruger. Bought it last year. Don't shoot it as much as I should, but with multiple guns it's tough. As another reviewer stated, the only thing that kept it from being a 5 in all areas was the magazine release. It's just a design that I scratch my head trying to figure out what the designers were thinking. Keep the ambidextrous feature and lose those twin pull down arms.
Never had a Walther, but as an old timer, I remember James Bond as having one. When I saw this one with a laser for less than 3 bills I jumped on it. It's a fun gun, the laser makes it better. Cons: Well, I don't care for the silver slide and the laser button location. So far it has been worthwhile. Functions as it should.
