This brand new, exclusive Savage Axis II 22-250 Rem. rifle features a Kryptek Highlander stock and a Bushnell 4-12x40mm SharpShooter scope. Savage has also equipped this exclusive rifle with a Heavy Barrel. These features are all new to the Axis II family of rifles, and are not found on any other Axis II model. The Savage Axis II Kryptek 22-250 rifle is the perfect way for a new hunter to go from the store to the field, with the Savage AccuTrigger and Heavy Barrel optimizing the rifle for increased accuracy.
I was a little skeptical with the price and quality of this rifle with not ever owning a Savage, but let me say this is one of my favorite rifles. Sighted in a 100 yards very easily and scope holds zero. This thing is a true tac driver and my go to for predators. Very satisfied with my purchase.
Love the feel of this new rifle. Haven't shot yet, just received. I own several Savage rifles and I think Savage has out did themselves this time with this Axis II. Upgrade on trigger and housing, heavy barrel and Kryptek highlander stock. Mine is in 22-250. Look out yotes.
Great value out of the box. I shot .5 inch and less groups with my first hand loads with this rifle with 62 grain Hornady bulk bullets. I must admit that was a little bit of luck in choosing the load I did and getting those results. A 22-250 is one of the easier cartridges to reload for and has superb accuracy. I used IMR-4064 powder with Hornady cases and Federal Bench Rest Primers. Reloading as it is one should use data tables from multiple sources for safe reloading.
let me start off by saying I dont typically write review on products but I was very impressed with this rifle! I bought this gun because it was on sale for Black Friday this past year and $350 with a $100 rebate so I'm the end $250 is what I paid for this rifle! Shipping was exceptionally fast and let me just say WOW! My original purpose for this gun was to be a truck gun so I just wanted something cheap so I would kind if it got beat up but after receiving it I have since changed my mind! The picture does not do this rifle justice! The only issue I had with it was straight out of the box the scope rings were a little loose but other than that everything looked great! I only have a few rounds down range with it so far but its preformed flawlessly! Not a single issue so far! The scope is a bit cheap but it does the job! Like I said I wanted it to be a truck gun so I had no intentions of swapping the scope! Overall in the short time I've had it I've fallen in love not only because of performance and looks but the price I paid is unheard of! I'd recommend this gun to anyone! 11/10 for me!
I was really impressed with how quickly I got this thing on paper and kept it there with a few clicks. Right out of the box I was punching a quarter size bullseye at 200 yards. And Yes from a bench rest. Great on ground hogs !! I'm sure the winter predator season is gonna be fun as well!!
