The photo represents the overall condition of these Sig Sauer P226R police trades, all of which are in fair condition.
Price is for one Sig Sauer P226 police trade-in pistol, which comes with one 12-round magazines. As with many used and police trade-in firearms, these may contain scratches and/or holster wear. This is not always the case, but should not be unexpected.
Please note that used firearms may contain surface rust, scratches and/or holster wear.
Recieved my P226 and was pleased to see that it was in exceptional condition and fired or carried very little. Only one small nick in the rail. Didn't come with a box but that's alright.
This one is in very nice condition with the low round count expected from trade ins. No scratches and next to no holster wear outside, and barrel finish wear says its low rounds. I also got lucky and got one with Short Reset Trigger Kit, a Short Reach Trigger, and the new E2 grips. The department armorer has definitely had his way with this one. The only drawback is the night sights are quite dim, but that's to be expected to a degree on trade ins. And Sig has replacement night sights available, as well as aftermarket. Overall I cannot complain for a half price Sig P226, the finest pistol made.
Well, when I picked up the pistol at my FFL, it was in a SIG Blue box. That means the original box. It still had the instruction manual in it, and the only wear I can find on the gun is the grips. There is some, and I mean only some wear on the barrel and the ejection port like SIGS normally do, but it is definitely not FAIR condition. This gun has not been shot much at all. The finish is excellent. I am totally amazed at the condition of this pistol. They must have mixed it up with the Very Good condition SIGS during the Black Friday sale. Not giving this one back either. Great Deal. Totally satisfied customer.
Most of the other firearms I have purchased here that were used, were in pretty good shape. This one was functional, but it was stored in a blue box and the foam was damp. This caused surface rust on a couple of the pins, the rear sight screw, and the grip screws. Not sure if it was stored at the Cop Shop that way, or if it got wet at the superstore, but I am disappointed that the firearm was rusty. It just barely made the Fair grade of pistol.
I knew the pistol would be in fair condition, but it was not from the use of the pistol. They foam in the case had gotten wet, and the pistol had been in the case long enough to create rust on some of the pins and screws. I was able to scrub off most of the rust, but I will have to watch it and keep oiling it up for a while to make sure it is gone for good. The pistol did come with 3 mags, not 2. The bluing was good, but it appears this gun was either thrown down, or dropped on concrete. I think it was in a little worse shape than fair. Being a Sig, it works fine, just have to watch for the rust.
