I own 5 Shields. For the money you can’t beat what you get.. They’re accurate and reliable..
I purchased this pistol for the value $ and reputation that the Shield has made for itself. I have only owned a few other pistols Springfield brand guns so I don't have a ton to compare to. My main issue is that the slide would not come to a fully closed position after racking it, or after firing a shot. I had to bump it closed as it still remained open about 1/16 - 1/8 of an inch. After about 150 rounds and a good cleaning. I decided this was not reliable enough to carry. Take it for what it is. But this issue has deterred me from any other S&W products for the time being. side note- of 4 Springfield Armory guns I have owned 2 XDS, 1 XDM, and one XD sub compact Reliability was 100% they are a little more expensive.
Again, great pistol & great store. I wrote before to forget the rebate but the check made it. The website still shows no record but obviously they did. Icing on the cake.
Gun is great. These Shields fit well and I haven't had a problem with any of the 400,or so, cheap rounds I've shot. The rebate is a joke though so don't buy based upon it. I have submitted the form by email twice with attached receipt, and by mail in an envelope provided. All started in April 2017 and as of today 9/19/17 the rebate outfit still has no record of my submissions. Sportsmans outdoor is great though and the price before rebate is lower than most even after rebate, so that makes it all good.
The M&P Shield 9mm is an amazing handgun for Concealed Carry. Nice and lightweight. The FDE color scheme makes the handgun look awesome as well. In the first shooting session, I shot 75 rounds through it with no problem at all. There are also a ton of mods and accessories available. Buy this and take advantage of the rebate!
Been wanting a shield for a while and with the rebates and free gear I figured it was time to jump in. Shipping has always been perfect with SOS I bought the gun Tuesday was in my hands by Thursday. I'll be sticking with these guys from now on.
