Packed with versatile features, the SR22® is lightweight (only 17.5 ounces) and perfect for just about anything - plinking, target shooting and even small game hunting. It is easy to field strip, fun to shoot, and will run reliably with a wide variety of ammunition (not just high-velocity ammunition).
The SR22 has light double-action and crisp single-action trigger pulls. Its external hammer is designed with a rounded spur for easy cocking and single-action shooting. The SR22 features a polymer frame and two interchangeable (no tools required) rubberized grips with angled serrations, allowing shooters to select either a slim or wider palm swell option. The aerospace-grade aluminum slide has serrations on both front and rear for better grip and slide manipulation. The easy-to-use underside Picatinny rail features multiple cross slots for variable mounting of most popular accessories.

What a great quality, great shooting pistol. I have never been disappointed with my 4 Ruger pistols. They shoot every kind of ammo and never any issues!
This Ruger is just fun to shoot. And a lot cheaper to practice with than 9mm! The single/double action and hammer-dropping safety are nice features that really help the gun feel secure. The grip is very comfortable, and the sights are good. Adjustable rear sights are nice too. Its also easy to use`;` my wife and daughter had no problem on the range. The cerakote finish is a nice touch and gives it a more unique look than just basic black. Seems pretty tough, but I havent wanted to test that theory. Only concern: one of the magazines seems to grab the round a bit, so every once in a while a round will jam. They are fairly thin steel. I just love this little guy.
I've used this gun with my wife and daughter for practice and training. Its easy to use, ambidextrous got a lefty or two in the family, and just fun to shoot! The double-action and safety mechanism are great`;` obvious and secure. Well balanced, grips comfortably. The only concern I've had is an occasional jam. I suspect one of the stamped-steel magazines is not quite right at the top. I tried tweaking it and think it helped. Great gun for training, plinking and shooting! Also, the Tungsten Cerakote looks great! Sportsmans was the only place I found it. I wanted something that wasn't just black but didn't want a Fisher Price look either.
