For over 50 years, the Ruger 10/22 has been America's favorite 22 rifle. In 2012, Ruger changed the game by introducing the 10/22 Takedown model. The easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown of the rifle is as simple as locking the bolt and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the sub-assemblies and pulling them apart.
The 10/22 Takedown with Mica Bronze Synthetic Stock includes a convenient carrying case, which provides ample storage room for magazines and accessories. Also included is Ruger's patented detachable 10-round rotary magazine features a unique rotor to separate cartridges and provide reliable feeding.

I just want to say that the photos used for this rifle do not do it justice. The rifle stock itself is a medium brown color that is much more appealing that the photos would imply. The same thing with the carrying bag that comes with it. The case is a heavy canvas material that is golden brown rather than an off yellow. The rifle itself is definitely a great stow away design that can be assembled with ease. Its just flat out fun to shoot and plenty accurate with the shorter 16 plus barrel. Just a great little rifle...buy with confidence!.
Awesome gun. Mica bronze stock is very nice. Pictures does not do it justice. Its more of a deep brown. I was very happy with shipment time and would do business with them again
Ok. Everyone knows 10/22s are just great rifles. So the bag color is fantastic. It is FDE instead of the black with red logo. The rifle itself is more of a brown color which looks awesome!
This rifle was pitiful - hard to believe it left the factory. Couldnt reliably feed an entire factory magazine at a rate of better than 50%. I contacted Ruger and shipped the rifle back. Their techs confirmed that it was not manufactured correctly and thus would be destroyed. Ruger sent me a new one that works much better but still has its occasional hiccups regardless of ammo selection. I have shot plenty of older 10/22s with great success but would be very wary of buying another.
This is an update to my previous review. First rifle was a bust but Ruger took care of me - replaced the rifle and after I contacted Outdoor Superstore they placed me in touch with a local Ruger rep that really cared about making things right and made a bad situation much better. Customer service the way it should be!
P.S. the new rifle functions very well - about 500 rounds in. The take down feature is fantastic and easy to use. The included bag is great too. Outdoor Superstore had the absolute best price when I purchased as well.
I am so happy with my new rifle. I am very pleased with the ease of placing the order, the cost and the date of delivery was as stated.. I will definitely do business here again.
