I bought this gun for my grandson to use for the youth hunt here in Michigan. He is 10 years old and fairly slight of build. He had no problem keeping the gun shooting in a 2 group at 50 yards, the gun shoots better than that, but that is what he could do. I took him hunting and he dropped his first deer at 35 yards in its tracks. He can't wait to go hunting again next year.
Bought this single shot 44 mag rifle at the recommendation of my local gun dealer for my wife to deer hunt. It's a soft, light kick shooting gun, perfect for a lady. Took down her first deer 2 days into the Michigan 2018 season. I was shooting a 50 cal muzzle loader but bought one for myself also, have retired the muzzy, I got a 10 point with mine last year.
My thinking is, if you cant take a deer down with 1 shot, either you need more practice, or you shouldn't be hunting. We really like this gun and Traditions has done a fine job of making it light weight and sturdy. I bought a Nikon scope for both and found it to be a tack driver at 100 yards. My gun dealer told me it's a take down out to 100 yards and after that it begins to be questionable. Since we hunt our farm and have a blind in an area where a 60 yard shot is long, this gun is perfect for us.
well got it home and guess what it wont fire now i am tring to talk to them about fixing it. i have figured out the problem but now i wait on tradition.
