(5 out of 5) Canik will send you a lighter RSA Spring for free
by from Bountiful, UT on

Great price on this Canik & RMR . I found out that my FTE’s and Stovepipe problems were due to factory spring. In Europe they use hotter ammo than we do in the states. Called Century Arms , they sent me a lighter RSA, just ran 400 rounds thru it, NO ISSUES!! I absolutely Love this pistol!!

(5 out of 5) Vortex sight is awful
by from Bountiful, UT on

So excited to get the TPSFX with the included Venom Optic, shot a couple hundred rounds with the iron sights to see how it ran, a few stove pipes with 115 gr. Blazer, switched to American Eagle 124 gr. and it ran great. Mounted the Venom Optic and none of the adjustments WORK, ready to drop it on the floor and step on it. SAVE YOUR MONEY

This is my first Canik and it superseded my expectations. From Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore quick shipping, to the range. The gun arrived at my dealer in excellent time. Took it out to the range and performed as expected. Put 600 rounds with no malfunctions. Thank you Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore for making this purchase available to me. Promptness and quality were at its best. Highly recommended!

(5 out of 5) Excellent value, close to perfection
by from Lincoln University, PA on

Overall, this is a fantastic setup. Major key positives: - Extremely accurate with or without red dot. Iron sites were dead on out of the case. - Soft recoil, Great balance. - Best trigger reset I have experienced. - Vortex Red Dot easy to install and zero. 6moa dot is good for closer distances sub 30 yards, easy to see, but dot is bigger too. Dot brightness adjustment and controls are nice. - Magazines are of good quality. - 1,000+ rounds shot with zero issues... no feed or fire malfunctions. - Easy take-down / disassembly process. - Kit includes tools, cleaning brushes, other backstrap, holster, loader, additional red dot mount plates, etc. all in a nice case. Better and more than you get with most.
Other things to mention... Trigger travel is longer than my preference, however this isn’t much of an issue due to the short reset. Trigger pull initially approached the mid 4lb range not high 3lb, but has lightened slightly with use. Kit comes with 2 backstraps... but I would swear they are exactly the same size/part. Vortex Red Dot battery cover is hard to re-thread after replacing the battery, one must be patient. Final comment - this handgun is more accurate than my S&W M&P Pro Series 9mm, which was my favorite range piece until this arrived. If you haven’t tried a Canik TP9 you are missing out.

(5 out of 5) NOW I KNOW WHY IT WAS GUN OF THE YEAR
by from Merritt, NC on

I'm a retired Marine with more than a few handguns. I've looked at several off the shelf ready race guns. The Canik always felt good when I picked them up in the gun stores. I read the reviews and watched the videos online and decided I would make the purchase. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore advertised it at $599 and I had to order it. Glad I did. Set it up and took it out to the range. The handle was great. Fired 200 rounds through it without a single failure. The Vortex Venom was a breeze to zero and once I was on, it was off to the races. Had a blast shooting steel.

(4 out of 5) Great setup, that could’ve been outstanding!
by from Rockwood, TN on

This is a great setup that comes fully equipped and ready to run, it has ran flawlessly, however if there was something I could change it’d be the ability to be able to keep the rear sight on the weapon even when the optic plate is installed. It shouldn’t be a deal breaker though cause this thing is a blast to shoot!
