With high visibility low-profile sights and a slim-contour frame, the XD® Mod.2™ Service Model is a feature packed full sized double-stack pistol. The noticeably slim profile and other features combine to make the Mod.2™ Service Model a pistol that offers excellent ergonomics and serious firepower in a surprisingly concealable full sized handgun.
Like all XD®s, the Mod.2™ Service Model is loaded with safety features. The striker status indicator, loaded chamber indicator, grip-safety, internal firing pin block, and the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System™ all work to make the XD® Mod. 2™ Service Model a safe and easy to use pistol.

My first pistol and I absolutely love it! Shot it for the first time at the range and it was awesome! I recommend this Springfield handgun for anyone that’s looking for a good brand and ergonomically safe firearm!
Great deal and even better service. Ordered on Friday April 26th and was delivered the following Wednesday May 1st to my local FFL. Would definitely do business again with Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Springfield makes some great firearms and there's no way I could pass up this great package. Five 16 round Mags and a nice lil range bag I can't wait to get to the range!!
I had an opportunity to shoot a friends XDM2 and immediately had to have one. I ordered both this and an XDM OSP with the Vortex red dot. Both are fantastic. I already had a Springfield Range Officer 1911 .45ACP that I like as much as my Kimber TAC PRO II. The XDMs have replaced my conceal carry Colt Defender and my primary range guns Glock 17.
Some of the best features that I like are the grip safety, magazine capacity, and ease in disassembly for cleaning. The XDM OSP already had perfect sights and come with a threaded barrel for my suppressor. The XDM2 sights weren't very effective for me and I replaced them with Trijicon night sights. Perfect.
