2019 brings the addition of the first double/single action for the K6s family, the K6s DASA with 2-Inch Barrel. For those who require a small package with mild recoil, the K6s provides the power needed for concealed carry, home protection, and many other applications. Best of all, they offer unequaled Kimber quality, dependability and performance.
The K6s (DASA) is next evolution of the Kimber revolver product line that takes the acclaimed K6s system and outfits it with a double and single action trigger mechanism. The platform maintains the benefits of the original K6s such as the outstanding double action trigger pull, compact envelope, and six shot capacity but with the added advantage of a single action trigger.
Not my first revolver, but my first magnum. First impression: wow. I’ve read about Kimbers in the 1911 format, and always thought they were simply pretty guns with low capacity. With the K6S, you’re getting the .357 magnum cartridge delivered in a full 6-shot work of art. Highly concealable, comfortable shooting takes practice because of the concealable grip`;` but I bought it for CCW purposes and it is flawless in that regard, and the fit and finish is fascinating. I have wanted the gun since it debuted at Shot show, mostly because it bucked the trend in terms of being “heavy” this is no air weight, no LCR! and for capacity 6 seems a good minimum. Once I got the pistol, I was floored with the trigger in double or single action, it is a near flawless out of the box trigger, very crisp and light, no take up I could feel. I love the gun, and as always got a fair price at SOOS with amazing customer support. Also: just because I could, I bought a Colt King Cobra a few days later: DAO, hammerless...the only thing I liked better was the grip full grip, but it doesn’t conceal as well. It’s a mild difference. I’m glad I have both, but if you’re worried about the grip, the colt is slightly easier to shoot with practice it won’t matter. In terms of finish, and craftsmanship: Kimber has no equal. Made in the USA and an absolute CCW dream.
