(5 out of 5) Inexpensive tack-driver
by from Huntington Beach, CA on

This is my first bolt-action rifle, and on my first outing I was able to shoot two sub-MOA 3-shot groups at 250 yds. At 100 yds the groups bullet holes touched. Looser groups were all due to shooter error. Shooting Hornady 140gr American Gunner things in the overall system my inexperienced self thinks are worth comment: 1 The trigger is AMAZING. I prefer a two-stage, but the accutrigger is an extremely acceptable alternative. It's adjustable, but right out of the box it was perfect for me. Extremely crisp and light. 2 In 3 instances out of 40 rounds, the shell failed to extract. I have read this is sometimes a problem in the 110s. As this is my first bolt gun and first 110, I don't know if it was a mechanical issue or me not working the bolt properly.

Will require more research and range time to resolve. 3 The optic rail is really high, and with low scope rings in my case Seekins Precision Low - .94 height and a 50mm objective lens scope Burris XTR II 5-25x the highest comb of the accufit selection is the one I needed to best shoot prone. The low combs seem like they would be pointless unless using extensive padding. Also, first thing you do should be to remove and then reinstall the rail with thread-locking compound. 4 Bolt has a little bit of play that requiring conscientiously pushing straight forward when chambering a round`;` pushing slightly sideways will cause it to bind. 5 Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore is the GOAT! Fantastic prices and world-class customer service. I love buying from em!
