I am 100% happy with this firearm. I’ve never even held a gun before and I feel very comforting this one after a lesson with a professional. #2A!!!!!
Bought one of these in black last year and enjoy shooting it because of its low recoil and light easy racking. With the relief tabs on the magaizines you dont even need a loader. This is perfect for anyone with arthritis or weakened hand strength. I also have a Shield in 9mm and the difference is dramatic. It feel's like a full size gun and is just a sweet and accurate shooter. It is lightweight and slim so it conceals without much bulging. Mine has been 100% reliable with a number of different bands of ammo and configurations so unlike many tiny pocket 380s this one isn't fussy about what you feed it. I think there is a lot of hype about needing a 9mm at a minimum for self defense, but I don't believe that to be true.
Today's defensive loads pack a punch, and have proven penetration and expansion. I use Federal HST 99gr and I am confident that if need be it could be a one shot stopper. Buy one of these for the ease of racking, shooting, and loading and don't worry about needing something bigger. S&W came up with a product that suits a number of folks, and the quality is there. If your local range has one to rent, try it out and you might be surprised, and it is also good to know if it can hold up as a rental then its durable.
