Lightweight. Low recoil. Exceptionally reliable. The all-new Taurus 942 is an 8-shot 22WMR revolver that's ideal for concealed carry, recreational shooting and skills training.
The gun is heavy, finish is ok, gun sights are bad. They need to be improved. Rough opening the cylinder, shot brass sticks, and hard to extract, take out of the cylinder. Trigger is bad. Over 12 pounds, single action. Double action is stiff and trigger is around 6 pounds. The price is high. 1) The gun needs to be made lighter, less weight 2) Needs better sights, fiber optic or orange ?? 3) Needs better trigger over all 4) Needs smoother easier shot brass extraction 5) Needs better finish. Over all, an ok gun. Gun shoots ok up to 15 yards.
This revolver works flawlessly right out of the box. It looks exactly like it is pictured. The trigger pull is a little tough, but it will work in as I use it...It’s perfectly accurate. The hammer cocks every time...cylinder never binds, and it releases every time...I waited three years to get this gun...well worth the wait!
I accepted the firearm so as not to trouble my FFL. I knew immediately it would be going back to Taurus. Cyl binds, sometimes hammer won’t cock, sometimes you can’t open with cyl release, hammer pull sucks, DA trigger sucks, sporadic operation. Don’t waste your money! I’m a retired soldier and a gun person. I know firearms.
Does not look like the picture that is shown. It has a 2inch shrouded barrel, then a 1 inch rounded barrel with a bell type end!!!!!! I wish it was a fully shrouded barrel like shown in the picture. Haven't fired this revolver yet.
