I wanted a full size 9mm for IDPA / USPSA competition pistol shooting and this is in the sweet spot for sure. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore has a very easy ecommerce ordering system, which includes a list of FFL locations by zip code. Transaction and delivery were as promised.
The PPQ is a better gun than I am a shooter for sure.
The basics are all there. Everyone online raves about the trigger and it's not hype. Definitely consider one. I'm thinking about the PPQ in .45 ACP. I'm going to wait until next year at the earliest to try the Q5 / QF SF.
This gun is hands down better than a highly modified Glock 34 that I sold. Trigger is great and can be improved with an inexpensive spring replacement. VERY accurate and sighted poa/poi out of the box. SOSS service is the best in the industry. Real people and always pleasant when I have contacted them. The prices on these are creeping up so they must be in demand. In my opinion. By the way my XDM holster fits this. In my opinion this is the best IDPA SSP or USPSA production pistol on the market.
This is by far the sweetest shooting pistol Ive ever had the opportunity of owning.

Read many reviews and watch videos on this pistol. Heard nothing but good things on Walther's PPQ line. I just had to buy one...After shooting, I have to say, everything is all true..Amazing pistol with great accuracy and shoot-ability...A tack driver to the max...My next plan is to pick up the 4 inch model for carry pistol.... I have shot many hand guns ranging from Beretta, Glocks, Sig Sauer, Taurus, and Ruger. This is the best hand gun I have shot and own. The trigger of this weapon is a selling point and is amazing. The handling is very friendly and feels very comfortable. It can be easily broken down and cleaned. I have put 500 rounds through this in 2 days and had zero issues. The shooting is smooth and accurate. You cannot beat the price and discount for military and law enforcement for a weapon of this caliber. My favorite gun and very recommended. This should be the next hand gun as a duty weapon for police and military.
