(5 out of 5) Love My New 3 Colt Python
by from Alpharetta, GA on

I ordered my 3 Colt Python on 8/29/23, and it arrived at my LGS on 9/1/23. Could not ask for better service. Kudos to Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. When I picked up my Python, and condition was perfect. Fit and finish are outstanding, as was the price of $1,299. I could not find it locally for less than $1,499. To say that I am happy with my purchase would be an understatement. I am simply thrilled

(5 out of 5) Perfect!
by from Central Florida, FL on

Colt reintroduced the 3" Combat Python in stainless steel instead of the long awaited 2.5" snubby. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore offered a great deal, so I bit.

Amazing fit and finish, the 3" balances even better than my 4.25" 2020 Python! I purchased the smaller service Colt grips off eBay and they fit like a glove, excellent for concealed carry. I did tighten down the rear sight locking screw prior to qualifying with it on a LEO range. It gave me no issue, all shots were centered, point of aim with Norma 158 grain .38 Specials at 15 yards. Colt really did an outstanding job on this 3" Python, aside from offering it with target grips, which are perfect for the 4.25 and 6" models, but not on a snubnose revolver. I even prefer this 3" Python over my SW 686-6 2.5", which says something as I'm a lifelong S&W fan. Hopefully Colt will bring out the 2.5" Python soon and consider offering it in the Royal Blue finish. Are these Pythons expensive? Absolutely. But worth every damn penny.
