The 4” XD 9mm Service Model combines safety with quality and ease of use. With Springfield’s Ultra Safety Assurance (U.S.A.™) Action Trigger System, this polymer framed pistol is as comfortable as it is safe. The Loaded Chamber Indicator allows the shooter to verify visually or by touch, and without a doubt, that there is a round in the chamber.
The Springfield XD’s legendary Point and Shoot Ergonomics combines natural pointability with a compact, contoured polymer grip. The result is an instrument that feels more like a natural extension of your body than an object in your hand.

Fun to shoot, great price, thanks SOS
Awesome 9mm package at a great price. Shipping was exactly when promised, and smooth to my FFL dealer. Communications were so polite and friendly. Will buy from this company again and again.
First handgun, only put about 200 rounds through it so far. I can say I really love it though. It feels good in the hand and feels great to shoot. The sights are pretty much on point and field stripping and cleaning is a breeze. One thing I have to say that is really awful about the XD9 line is the magazine. They are incredibly difficult to load right out of the box. Forget getting that 16th round in by hand, it's just not going to happen. Get a speed loader before you shoot; your thumb joints will thank you. SOSS service was excellent. They were responsive to emails and always answered calls promptly. This is going to be one of my go to sites to purchase firearms/accessories and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Bought this because of the rebate and nice price point for a full size handgun. It's easy to use, and breakdown/cleaning is simple even for a beginner like myself. Put around 500 rounds through it and have started to get a good feel for how it shoots. Overall pleased with the purchase. The grip safety is a non issue. The trigger feels decent as a first time gun owner and it fits well in my hand. The 4 rebate magazines and holster/mag holster came in about 4 weeks after submitting it. SOSS provided excellent service overall and will be my first choice for online purchases from now on. Had a few issues with payment which were resolved promptly after an email and a phone call. The phone was answered immediately and emails returned promptly. Could not recommend them anymore.
