Ruger's Vaquero features a handsome, larger crescent-shaped ejector rod head that boasts traditional form, which makes it perfect for every cowboy or cowgirl. Its patented reverse indexing pawl allows for easier loading and unloading, while the traditional beveled cylinder simplifies holstering. The transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock provide an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge. The Vaquero also has a traditional western-style, hand-filling grip and a cold hammer-forged barrel. The SASS model has a black, checkered grip featuring the SASS logo, Montado-style hammer, and a high-gloss stainless metal finish.
