I bought the FDE version first and liked it so much I decided to buy the black one. It doesn't feel like a 45 when you shoot it. It seriously feels like a 9. Even a friend who doesn't enjoy the 45 caliber said he wants one. This gun is phenomenal in every way... guy above me from 2015 said he had issues with Blazer Brass. I didn't have that experience with either gun. Ate the Blazer Brass like candy along with Aguila and Sellier&Bellot. Very soft shooting for a 45 in my opinion. Is it expensive? Yea. It is but it's worth it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Update to last post, contacted FNH about missing parts and they are sending me everything that I am missing. Great customer support - if I had the money, I'd buy another one.
I got the flat dark earth from another supplier-a little less money-BIG mistake, it came with no screws to mount the red dot optics. My friend bought one from this web site-a couple dollars more and his came with everything including 3 backstraps 2 mounting plates for red dot sights as well as 3 pair of mounting screws-6 in all. And three 15 round mags. As far as mounting screws, I got none. Great gun, you will be pleased. And no worries buying on this web site.
Put 150 rounds through it at the range on Saturday. It did not like the Blazer Brass but enjoyed the Federal American Eagle. Shot it at an Action Pistol Shoot the next Wednesday and loved it. Soft shooting .45, nice sights, 15 rounds and some of my better stage times.
Outstanding performance & accuracy. Buy one if in stock.
Threaded barrel for silencer, soft case, red dot mounting plates, and 3x drop free, hi cap mags included.
Excellent safety systems= both de-cocker and thumb driven allow for cocked and locked carry- or just run it double action.
Very nice trigger too.
Forward serrations help.
Made for big hands although comfortable and controllable enough with small ones.
Great combat pistol!
