The Colt 1911 A1 Rail Gun is the modern combat version of the legendary Colt 1911 handgun. It includes low profile combat sights, beavertail safety, and an accessory rail under the barrel. The Colt Government 1911 A1 Rail Gun Semi-Automatic Pistol in .22 L.R. is manufactured exclusively by Walther under license from Colt. It is the only genuine Colt tactical rimfire replica available in the world.
These pistols are illegal for sale in the states of Illinois and Minnesota due to "melting point" laws.
I own this pistol. It's a great value! The pistol is accurate and works great. It needs a little bit of a break in period and may need a little help going into battery until it is broken in, but after that, you won't find a better range pistol. Walther has a colorful history, to say the least, but the company makes great pistols. I own three Walthers and I have never been disappointed. My one gripe is that a Walther pistol normally comes with a lifetime transferable warranty and this pistol only comes with a one year warranty. It's still a five star gun.
You can't tell the difference between this and a real 1911. I got a threaded barrel adapter so I can use my suppressor. For only $280 it is a bargain.
Most smooth 22 I have shot very accurate on rapid fire easy to rack except in 15 rd ext.
Wow what a fun gun to shoot! Has a great feel to it in your hand. Shoots accurately with no issues. Shot cheap ammo just fine, and hollow points too. I even found a couple extra clips for sale on this sight here!! A+
Shot several boxes of ammo with minor jam, maybe me. Love the feel and the weight, everything is right on.
Never thought a Semi auto 22LR could work this well! Not only did the price blow me away, but the cost to put a thousand rounds through it without affecting my budget is what I love most about this weapon. Don't like not having spare magazines and am still searching on where to find some: Accurate, smooth and handles like a 1911. Very Happy!
This 1911 22lr feels good and shoots well, found 2 extra magazines on line which will be helpful at the range.
The first time you shoot it, you can feel the quality. This is my favorite gun to shoot and in general. It runs flawlessly, the only downside is the lack of another magazine. They seem hard to find as well. But you'll love this gun!
This is just a great addition to any collection and loads of fun to shoot. My only slight negative is that the trigger is initially a bit stiff but after the first 3 or 4 rounds on the range you easily adjust . After several hundred rounds, it progressively gets better as it breaks in.
This gun is actually produced in four different models - standard govt. model, gold cup model, rail version in black and rail version in FDE. The magazines can be hard to find Model # 517602 , but just check on gun.deals and you'll see what's available. I recently bought five from G4G for $21.99 plus shipping. I have purchased several firearms from SOSS in the past couple of years and have been extremely satisfied with their offerings and timely shipping to my FFL.
I received my Colt 22 Cal on time, the gun shoots great, dead on at 15 yards, and easy to clean, plus a great price. Very happy with the service and product.
Gun arrived in 5 business days. What a sweet little shooter. My new favorite pistol at the range hands down. Cycled 500 rounds of rem high velocity no problem! One failure to fire only mishap. Feels wonderful in the hand, trigger is solid with a fairly heavy break but I am fine with it. Great ergonomics.
Only downside is it comes with one mag, and others are hard to find and expensive. There is absolutely no reason not to buy this gun. It is so much fun and a perfect trainer for an actual 1911. SOSS is the real deal!!! Third consecutive firearm from them and they come through. If you are on the fence, take my word for it, just get the dang gun. Awesome!
Shipping is very fast! Good gun, very good quality!
Love this gun and a blast to shoot, but it's next to impossible to find extra magazines, and I'm saying I've searched everywhere. On the waiting list at least a dozen places with not one can tell me when they might be available. Even Walther Colt have no idea when. I would have been a little less excited but still a great inexpensive gun.
Yes I did! For $280.00 it’s one heck of a bargain not to mention how well it looks, feels and shoots. My first one is in carry rotation and light compared to others. Nothing wrong with carrying a 22 caliber. At this price you can’t go wrong. Thanks SOSS!
Let’s face it. We all have a gaggle of 22 caliper pistols. Do I need this? I said NO for over 6 months, however, review after review praised this as a great pistol. I’m a regular at SOSS and had this in my “wish list.” When I saw the sale it was a no brainer. My first impressions are high end quality, right weight, feels great and looks even better. I went with the “rail gun” model for the sights. Do yourself a favor and pick one up. The smiles are worth every penny, just a fantastic firearm.
