The M&P Shield M2.0 pistol builds upon the success of the best-selling M&P Shield pistol line through notable enhancements, including the M&P M2.0 crisp trigger with lighter trigger pull, a tactile and audible trigger reset, and aggressive grip texture for enhanced control. Those familiar with the M&P Shield product line will recognize the familiar, slim profile and 18-degree grip angle for a natural point of aim.
The M&P Shield M2.0 with Integrated Crimson Trace Laser provides consumers with an out-of-the-box concealed carry solution that features two laser modes and ambidextrous laser activation for user confidence and reliable performance day or night.
I ordered this about 8 months ago and have been shooting it regularly. I work at an indoor range so have ample opportunity to shoot. Got mine with the CT Laser but honestly never use it`;` it was cheaper than the standard model due to a special and so I saw no reason not to get it.
First things first: there's a whole lot of snap to it. Everything you would expect from a tiny sub-compact in .40. It's pretty brutal. Second: on the 9mm the grip stippling is fine but on this, because of the recoil, it is pretty uncomfortable. Solved this with a Hogue grip, absolutely love it now. Third: I am a lunatic and as such, when I found a company that made a conversion barrel for this I threw my money at them and converted it.....to .357SIG. Yes, that's a thing and it's hilarious. I absolutely don't recommend it but it is a thing you can do to these.
Shooting it with the grip and understanding that it's a peppy round for a sub-compact, I'm more than happy with the performance. And the big thing for me and presumably most everyone looking for a sub-compact: it is extremely concealable. With an IWB holster, I can appendix carry this thing in basketball shorts and a jersey if I wanted to. No cover garment necessary. All this punch with a tiny footprint can't be overstated.
My one complaint with the weapon that has not been solved, is that it comes with a single 7 round magazine...and a 6 round. I can't for the life of me work out why it comes like that but it does, and S&W will happily help themselves to another $35 in order to provide you with a second 7 round magazine. Whatever.
WHAT a weapon! WHAT a deal! FAST SHIPPING! Just got my Shield .40 cal., took it out shooting today 08-18-2018. Shot like a dream; put about 200 rounds through it without the first malfunction. Sights dead on shooting right through the bull’s eye with steal sights and lazar, NO ADJUSTMENT. I have been shooting for more than 45 years and State Trooper for 33 years, best shooting weapon right out of the box I ever had. If you’re looking for a concealed weapon to carry look no further, you won’t find a better weapon. I have shot Glocks for over 20 years, Glocks are more expensive and shoots no better. I’m not putting Glocks down; the Shield is just that good. Don’t pay the extra money for a Glock, get a M&P Shield save money and is just as good as a Glock, you won’t be disappointed.
Great deal on this gun. I like having the laser at the range. I like that it's slightly recessed and on both sides. The grip on the gun is aggressive and extremely thin considering it's a 40 S&W. I've carried this gun and I'm glad I purchased it.
