Just loaded with enhancements that should cost much more that what Kimber is putting these out for. Pluses, Fiber sights, custom slide serrations, front strap checkering, bobbed mainspring and a nice soft melt job. minuses, Trigger not the best, 5 lbs and lots of creep. Pulled everything out, polished to 600 grit, stoned trigger channel. Now is a nice crisp 4 lbs and shoots like a dream.
I think this is one of the most gorgeous 1911s I have ever seen.
I will mention that I believe Kimber rushed their QC at least on my particular model.
The magwell is extremely sharp and should have been milled down so it does not snag on your shirt when you draw or cut your finger when you do a speed reload! This really looks like an oversight from the factory and is disappointing for the cost of the pistol. The barrel also looked like it could have been milled down towards the front as there were metal shreds that needed to be removed. Maybe the QC dude just took his lunch break and forgot to do a once over mine.
Overall, I still love the pistol. Just thought I would put my honest feedback out there and will be reaching out to Kimber to let them know... Hope this review is helpful to you!

First Kimber Ive owned and its a great shooter. Its got a awesome fit and finish and very accurate. Good gun to show off to your friends! No malfunctions at all, have fired about 200rds so far and no hiccups. I am very happy and this is definitely a keeper!
One of my favorite 1911’s. Love the fiber optic sights along with the vbob grip cut. Highly recommended.
