Fantastic weapon, no break in needed for this one. Three range trips so far with over 600 rounds and no issues, except for Wilson Combat mag problems. Very accurate, very comfortable, and very tight. Bushing to barrel, and slide to frame fit are custom shop quality.
SOSS once again had the best price on the web, and fast delivery. The Kimber KimPro Tac-Mags ran flawless but the Wilson Combat mags had FTF issues. I have the same problem with Wilson mags with my Kiimber 10mm 1911. Don't know what's going on there, but the overrated/overpriced Wilson mags are now in my eBay store.
I got this pistol home, I was excited, it was my first 45. I have many years of experience, this one was anything but a treat. Failure to feed on 4 of its 8 shots. After nearly two boxes of ammo I sent it back to Kimber. They did fix whatever was wrong but the taste will never go away. The coating on the slide scratches easily. It is a beautiful pistol that is meant to sit on display. Thank you Kimber for making it right but for the cost of your guns I thought I was buying more than a name.
