A great pistol!

(5 out of 5) Wonderful 1911, Super Accurate!
by from Charlotte, NC on

This is one of my favorite guns I own. I have a decent amount and it is always a joy to shoot this 1911 in 45 ACP, the true shot for a 1911. It is super accurate, and even new gun shooters I let shoot have hit bullseyes without having shot a gun before. Great bang for your buck, affordable, and great quality, feels great in the hands, only thing I changed was the plastic grips to some wooden ones which is pretty inexpensive to do so, only other issue is if you have your hand to high on the hammer you get “bit” by the short beaver tail but it just takes some practice to not get hit by it, I’ve learned to lower my hand and haven’t got but by it recently. Great choice!

Pistols are tight and accurate. Put a little white paint on the front sight and have at it.

(5 out of 5) GI M1911A1 Goodness from Turkey Oh Yeah!

Forged frame and slide, the only MIM part on the piece is the recoils spring plug. Fit and finish are excellent for a GI type pistol. The upcoming parkerized Armed Service Series pistols will be more true to the originals, but the Cerakote over parkerizing on this model looks good and was the finish I wanted. Trigger measures 5.5lbs on my Wheeler scale. Two initial failures to chamber out of one of the two supplied Checkmate mags on the first few mags fired, then no problems for the next 130 rounds on the break in range trip. The legend built with quality materials, modern finish and handles and functions like it came right out of the Armory, but not abused and rebuilt, better metallurgy than the old warhorse it emulates and under $400, with two mags. Tisas hit this one out of the park in my book.
