The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a tactical, duty-ready handgun built for shooters who demand proven reliability and modern adaptability. Chambered in .45 ACP and constructed on a full-size carbon steel frame, this pistol delivers the legendary performance of the 1911 platform enhanced with contemporary features for defensive and professional use. Forward cocking serrations, an ambidextrous safety, and rugged VZ G10 grips ensure confident handling in high-stress environments.
Equipped with Springfield’s Agency Optic System (AOS), the Operator supports a wide range of popular red dot optics including RMR, Shield, DeltaPoint Pro, and Docter footprints. Each AOS plate integrates a rear sight for proper optic height and dependable co-witnessing. An integral Picatinny rail allows mounting of lights or lasers, while this Gear Pac configuration includes a Viridian RFX-11 green dot optic, multiple magazines, and a pistol bag—making it ready for duty right out of the box.
