FX 1911 series features all steel parts, solid mahogany grips and a price point that won’t break the bank. Compatible with many different brands of 1911 magazine, the FX series is certain to have the 1911 pistol enthusiast set for hours of satisfactory shooting.
Right out of the box this firearm performed flawlessly. Shot several hundred rounds and have not encountered one issue. Accurate from the get go, haven't changed anything but the grips to my liking. I would recommend this weapon to anyone who is a 1911 fan, even the purests!
ATI M1911 45 ACP, shoots well and no problems with stove piping the empty casings. Bluing looks good and is holding up. Gun has some sharp edges on the slide but not enough to make me not want to use it. Not the Colt or Remington, but I was comfortable shooting this weapon.
ATI 1911s come a little dirty and require cleaning, I knew this. Don’t know what the bad reviews of SOSS are about. They did great in my book. Thank you for the fast shipping. Had the gun in 6 days!
This is my first handgun purchase, I'm honestly blown away this gun shoots great and is smooth!
I read the reviews on this firearm before I purchased it. The reviews were good, but the price was so low I was skeptical. After I received it and tried it out at the range I was blown away. This is one awesome handgun. I highly recommend it.
I was a little skeptical at buying a 1911 for $350 but this gun is a beautiful gun, I like it better then my colt 1911.
This is my third ATI 1911, no issues with any of them. According to ATIs website, your purchase comes with a lifetime warranty when you register the gun with them, https://americantactical.us/warranty.html. I run all types of 45ACP ammo, ball, 185g JHP, wadcutters, no issues. Also used GI 7 round mags, no issues. Sights were dead on, trigger pull was nice, consistent strong ejection. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore customer service was outstanding. I had an issue that was my problem with my last order, the rep called me personally on the phone after I had just sent an email and she took care of everything.
I am on my second ATI 1911A1 and I wish I had never sold the first one. Smooth slide to frame feel for such a budget pistol. I have worked with it enough to believe in it. 1911 style pistols are extremely magazine sensitive and strict military style, no frills pistols are sensitive to hollow point ammunition. These pistols are designed for ball ammo, factory loaded to govt specs. Don't expect an ax to do a knifes job. ATI offers customized 1911's at bargain prices but even those I would shoot at least 300 rds or so through to check function and all magazines to be used in it. The design is over a 100 years old. It won't change for you. You will have to adapt to its design warts if you want to get the most out of it.
I bought an ATI 1911 a couple years ago. Probably shot 110 rounds through it with no issues, but then it began to jam on every 1st to 5th round. I cleaned it thoroughly, used handloads, factory loads, different weight bullets, FMJ and JHP, same issue. Emailed ATI I saw online others had the same issue and were able to mail the gun in for repairs and got no response whatsoever. I know 1911s are supposed to be finicky, but this is ridiculous. Save up a little longer and buy a better brand pistol!
