The M&P22 is a reduced scale version of the full-size M&P pistol series, with a threaded barrel (3/8"x24) and an ambidextrous manual safety. Other features include a picatinny-style accessory rail, an adjustable rear sight, and an ambidextrous manual safety.

I received my M&P 22 compact quickly! The pistol is perfect and just what I wanted. It's my second purchase and I will definitely be buying from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore again.
Bought this for my wife so she could get comfortable with shooting. She loves it. It runs great. It won’t consistently cycle subsonics, but I guess I don’t know any semiauto 22’s that do. Aside from this, we’ve had no malfunctions with normal ammo. Breakdown is a little different than the larger calibers, but it’s fairly easy to clean. I’ll admit, it’s a fun little gun to shoot. The sights were dead on out of the box, and it looks and feels good overall. Like most 22’s, it’s very accurate. Happy I picked it up. I don’t have a suppressor for it, so I can’t say anything about the threading aside from confirming it’s there.
I have put over 1000 rounds through this handgun and have not had one problem with a jam or misfire.
