Best money spent with laser, light, and 5 mags. This is my 5th Springfield firearm. Shot great out of the box. Bought this because I saw Rob from That Ain't Bad on YouTube shoot it with crazy accuracy. Honest Outlaw did a mud, 25-yard drag, threw it in a pond, and it still shoots! How many other guns can do that!

I decided to graduate into the polymer world, haphazardly, because I love love love me some beavertails! So I did what everyone else does... and took some steps down that old glockity glock road. Love me some .40... and there is simply no way to carry my SW SS 4006 in any other fashion than open carry in Kirkpatrick leather. Finally, a SW .40 polymer striker fire for old schoolies like me. I did pay a higher price for the 3.6” with ambi safety, 4 mag swells, 2 mag extenders, 3 13-round mags, etc. etc. in the box. I went back and forth with Hogue until I realized a Sig compact product in beavertail was the way to go. I like Truglo TPX sights and I'm gonna tuck this baby away in a Milt Sparks SSII. In the meantime, my local guy fixed me up with a black carbon fiber Kydex IWB that wears very well at 3-4 o'clock. Full cant.

I've always been amused by the references to "Tier" this or that and "entry-level" guns. And especially the phrase "good gun for the price," like it would've magically turned into a better gun if you'd spent $200 more.

The AM-15 is definitely a budget gun, simply because of the low price. But what really defines a budget gun vs. a top-tier one? Mostly, it’s attention to detail. These are clearly being assembled quickly to get them out the door. Which means less quality control. QC costs money, and that cost gets passed on to the buyer. They also use lower-cost parts to keep the price down. Which is fine. You can always upgrade the furniture if you want. Just know what you're getting.

When I got mine, I immediately broke it down and inspected it. Everything was solid. BCG, charging handle, trigger group, barrel extension, buffer. All good and mil-spec, which is why I bought it. However, the gas block screws weren’t tight. I tightened them, which I recommend doing with any new AR.

I initially thought the upper and lower were mismatched in color, but it turned out to just be factory oil. Always clean and re-lube your new AR. Don’t shoot it with the factory oil still on there.

I ran three boxes of the cheapest 62gr 5.56 ammo I could find through it. Not a single hiccup. Slapped a cheap 3x9 scope on it, and it’s a 2.5 MOA gun at 100 yards. I’m sure it’ll do better with better ammo.

The AM-15 is a great little bottom-tier-budget-friendly-entry-level-gun-for-the-price. Just give it the care it didn’t get at the factory. And at this price, you can afford to give it some love. I’ve already recommended it to friends and family, especially at the deal SOSS is offering. I’ll probably grab another one soon.

See title. If you have to get a S&W PCC, I'd go with the Response. Nothing against this store, from ordering to delivery everything was as smooth as can be. The manual of arms on this thing is just weird.

Had read a couple of review, more on the 12ga than the 20. Some good, some just average. Decided to give the 20 a try. Surgery near left shoulder made my 12ga a bit of a handful.

Quick sight-in with red dot and ran a box of turkey shot. No hang-ups, no failure to eject, just a smooth-running gun. Granted, that’s only 25 rounds, but for a new gun, with a preliminary cleanup and no break-in period, I found it very impressive.

Went 4 across the board only because of the limited time factor and less than a hundred rounds. Time will tell in the long run. Just one old man's 73-year-old opinion, so make of it what you will.

Unless you personally have a federal firearms license because you are a dealer or a gunsmith, the average person cannot order a gun and have it shipped to their house. It has to be shipped to an FFL dealer who can legally accept the shipment and check your license prior to handing over your gun.
